Artist Submissions

Thank you for your interest in submitting your artwork to Greeting Card Garage for consideration of licensing your artwork for the Greeting Card Market.

We receive and review thousands of submissions annually and we understand the time and effort it takes for you to prepare your work for submission. Therefore, we created this guideline to assist you in deciding if your artwork is appropriate and highly marketable for the greeting card industry.

First you have sent, received, and selected greeting cards for the important people in your life and to celebrate their special events. Honestly review your body of artwork and decide if your images would make beautiful greeting cards that everyone would enjoy. Also consider what holidays and occasions your artwork would be appropriate for. This is important because if our review committee cannot make that immediate connection with your image and the appropriate holiday or occasion your artwork might be immediately rejected.

Next, consider the appropriate text, greeting, or message that could be added to your image for the appropriate holiday or occasion.  Appropriate examples include, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Birthday,  Happy Valentine’s Day, It’s a Boy!, Happy Mother’s Day, etc.

Think also outside the box with your greeting card message for example:

 You are so confetti worthy!

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” I think Birthdays might be the exception though.

The reason they keep raising the age requirement for Social Security is so that Santa can’t retire.

In our greeting card markets we are always interested in reviewing artists' artwork. We look for artwork that contains images and text for the following categories:

Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, Hannukah, Passover,  Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Faith, Religious, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Birthday (All Ages), Anniversary, Wedding Announcement, Wedding Shower, Baby Announcement, Baby Shower, Graduation, Congratulations, Thank You, Sympathy, Get Well, Quinceanera, Retirement.

Submission Guidelines

Artwork submitted to Greeting Card Garage must be in a digital format and sent as a JPEG (.jpg) image.

Your images should be scaled to fit the portrait and landscape size of our greeting cards which is 5” x 7”.

Your artwork may include text and captions that are appropriate for the holiday or occasion for which they are intended.  Please note however, that should we accept your artwork for licensing, Greeting Card Garage reserves the right to add/change the appropriate text or caption for the appropriate holiday or occasion if we deem it necessary to make your image more marketable in the greeting card industry.
